Crate Denim
The inside scoop:
Co-founder and designer Chad Hilton (along with his partners Jason Fischer and Nate White) works tirelessly on Crate Denim in LA's Toy Factory Lofts.
What’s in a name:
Drop by the Secret Service in LA and ask 'em. (Hint: The deadstock denim they use was shipped to them in crates).
Why we carry it:
The material for Crate Denim is sourced from "deadstock" denim, made decades ago for brands such as Levi Strauss, Wrangler and Lee. Hilton tries to exclusively use fabric from pre-1979 (the year he was born) so that the jeans are older than he.
